Sugaring Hair Removal Certification Class
This Cleveland Sugaring Certification is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind training experience that is designed to teach you the ancient art of sugaring. Learn this amazing form of hair removal in a one-day certification class that will give you the foundation to practice in the following weeks or months and begin offering this unique hair removal experience to your clients!
This one-day foundational class includes:
The history and future of sugaring (goodbye waxing!) Types of Sugar Paste, which is best for each body part and how to manipulate your Sugar Paste. Contraindications and Aftercare for sugaring. Hair growth cycles and suggested rebooking times for maintenance. Introduction to manipulating the Paste and learning to apply it to the full body over the course of the training day. Advanced training classes are also available.

*You must be a licensed Esthetician or Cosmetologist to take this course. Students must send their school contract with a listed projected graduation date or a letter of predicted graduation date from their school manager.

CLASS DETAILS
WHO:
Licensed Estheticians or Cosmetologists. If you are still in school you can submit your class contract with a projected graduation date to register. If you are not in the state of Ohio, it is your responsibility to know if your state allows you to perform sugaring hair removal under your scope of practice.

My skincare spa at 211 Front Street, Berea, OH 44017

HOW MANY STUDENTS:
2 students per class.

AREAS COVERED:
Full face, underarms, legs, bikini, Brazilian demo.
MODEL:
You are required to find and bring your own female model 18 or older for the class. She needs to be available about 45 minutes after we start the class, and for the full day. She will need to have at least 14 days of hair growth on the whole face, underarms, full legs and bikini/brazilian, It is VERY important your model has hair growth on ALL of these areas for proper training.
CLASS LENGTH:
Class length varies whether it is one or two students, the amount of hair your model has and how quickly you pick up the technique. All classes start at 10 am and often end between 5 and 6 pm.
HOW MUCH:
The class is $675 for the day, and you will need to purchase a kit in ADDITION to that cost (below).

ATTACH: Your license (or school contract) and a signed copy of the class terms/contact information. (at the bottom of this page click "class terms document".)
DEPOSIT: Once you have submitted your request I will email you a deposit invoice to be paid online. This invoice is a $150 non-refundable deposit, no exceptions. All classes are first come first serve. Your spot is NOT held in the class until you pay the deposit.
AFTER YOUR SPOT IS HELD, REGISTER ON TAMARAS SITE HERE.
Once you have registered and paid your deposit with me, you can register online for an account and kit. On a desktop at the top right there is a “registration” button. Enter all of your info and under the class info include my name, the class date and shipping address as my business address, NOT your address! (211 Front Street Berea, OH 44017) You can change this for the future, but your kit must be shipped to me for your class. After submitting your registration you will receive an e-mail confirming your account within a couple of days.
ORDERING YOUR KIT:
Once your account has been confirmed you can login to order order your kit. You have two kit options which can be seen under the “Product & supplies” tab under "class kits" on Tamara’s website. www.tamarasprofessionalbodysugaring.com You have the choice between a small kit which is great for practicing at home, or a large kit which has everything you would need to start sugaring with clients in a professional space. Whether you choose the signature or organic line is up to you. If you have any questions please contact the company directly at 425-623-0442. You must order your kit no less than 2 1/2 WEEKS before your class to guarantee delivery. If you do not, you will be removed from the class schedule and will have to reschedule your class date. You are REQUIRED to purchase a kit to take the class. No exceptions. Products used during the class are provided.
ONLINE THEORY:
After your kit is purchased you will receive an e-mail from Stephanie King with you online theory login. Stephanie lives in the UK so please allow a couple days to receive this email. You must complete your online theory BEFORE your class.

REMAINING CLASS COST:
After you have paid your deposit you will need to pay the remaining $525 for the class directly to me when you arrive for your class. You will pay this at the start of your class and can pay by cash, check or card. Check payments can be made to “Flourish Aesthetics”.

DAY OF CLASS:
All classes start at 10 am and run until about 6 pm depending on class size, models hair growth and student comfort level. Please arrive promptly for your class and ready to learn! An apron is recommended to protect your clothing from powder and sugar. Shorter-sleeved clothing is recommended, and something that you will be comfortable in as you will be moving a lot and may get warm. You can bring your own lunch to eat in your car, or go out to lunch during our break. Please keep water or whatever you will need during the class with you.

AFTER YOUR CLASS:
After your class you will need to spend a lot of time practicing on yourself and models before you will feel ready to add sugaring to your service menu, but it's so worth the practice! Follow me on social media to keep in touch and I am always an email away. This class is a functional sugaring certification class teaching the basics of sugaring. If you feel that you need more advanced training, especially bikini or brazilian, Advanced Training Classes are also available after you complete this foundational course.
