Sugaring is an amazing method way of hair removal. You will have less redness, irritation, and a more comfortable process. What more could you ask for?! But how often should you sugar? Here is my answer:
First, let's talk growth cycles. Your hair has multiple growth cycles. This means that hair grows, falls out, and right behind it (or in different hair follicles), a new set of hair grows. At your first few sugaring appointments you will have hair growth beginning probably 8-10 days after your visit. This is not the hair that we removed, but a different growth cycle. The goal of hair removal is to get all of your hair on the same growth cycle, then a consistent treatment regimen to have the longest period of time with no hair growth inbetween treatments. Then the hair will become thinner and thinner, until it stops growing.
Next, let's talk the 3 life stages of hair life. These are anagen (beginning), catagen (middle, growth period), and telogen (falling out). One of the purposes of sugaring is to lead to permanency. The best way to do this is to remove the hair in the anagen (beginning) stage of hair growth. This thins the follicle, therefore helping hair to grow finer and finer until it stops growing. In my opinion the best way to lead hair removal to permanency is to receive treatments every 2 - 3 1/2 weeks. This may seem often, but will benefit you in the long run. Would you rather come in every 2 - 3 1/2 weeks for a couple of years, or every 4-8 weeks for many years. The second option will probably cost you more money, and your hair will be on many different growth cycles with earlier regrowth.
For best results, just ask me how often would be best for your treatments!
