How To Give Your Skin an At-Home Facial

Giving your skin a facial at home is sure to reveal softer, clearer smoother and younger skin, while maintaining the results of your monthly facials. Doing so can give you results above and beyond your regular skin care regimen. As seen in the photos above, I demonstrate how to give yourself a mini facial. Here are the steps!

1. Cleanse. Today I am using my Cranberry Foaming Wash, one of my favorites! When mixed with water this gels work up to a creamy foaming lather that lifts away make-up and dermal debris in seconds, purging destructive components from the skin. Nutrient rich ingredients such as Shea Butter, Licorice, Beta Glucosamine, Vitamin B, Calendula & Horse Chestnut, revive environmentally stressed skin and help make it appear smoother, healthier and dramatically softer. It has antibacterial properties to fight environmental stress and is great for all skin types, especially acne prone skin. Rinse well and pat dry.

2. Exfoliate. Today I am using my Cranberry Scrub which helps slough off dead skin cells with zeolites from volcanic ash. Exfoliation speeds up cell renewal, help products to penetrate better, gives a glow and soft, smooth skin. This scrub contains natural vaccinium from cranberries which helps fight breakouts. 5% Phyto Pumpkin Enzyme Peel can also be used for this step! A peel is great for any skin type, but especially skin that is sensitive to a scrub. Instead of physically scrubbing away dead skin cells, a peel dissolves dead skin cells and uses acids like lactic to exfoliate and increase the natural moisture factor in the skin, or salicylic which kills bacteria.

3. Masque. Rinse well and apply a great masque! Today I used my Revitalizing Masque which helps to increase circulation and bring firmness to the skin. It gives a silky finish and hydrated feel. Leave on for 10-15 minutes, rinse well and apply a moisturizer.

4. Apply eye creme or serum. I love my Cobra Eye Serum! It contains a tri-peptide derivative that mimics the activity of Waglerin I, a polypeptide found in the venom of the Temple Viper. In clinical trials this peptide reduced facial mimic wrinkles by inhibiting muscle contractions. Visibly smoothes and lifts and tightens the entire eye and lip area, the eye lids feel less heavy, perfect in the morning and evening.
